LTC to J&K for the central government employees on airlines other than national carrier Air India

Kashmir-based tourism players have welcomed LTC facility on private airlines announced by government of India for promoting Kashmir tourism. Earlier the LTC was permissible only on national carrier.
The tourism players also hailed Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, for urging government of India to allow this “special concession” for the promotion of Kashmir tourism.
Chairman J&K Hoteliers Club & Chairman PHDCCI – J&K Chapter, Mushtaq A Chaya welcomed the decision which he said will increase the tourist arrivals to Kashmir.
He appreciated secretary tourism J&K government, Farooq Shah, for playing an important role in achieving this important “business requirement”.
Similar views were echoed by Zahoor A Tramboo, President – CCIK. He appreciated the efforts of the state government and the tourism department in this regard.
Chairman PILTOF, Nasir Shah said Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti deserves all credit for this decision by the central government as “the chief minister has the vision to see tourism industry of Jammu and Kashmir grow.”
“She has managed to get LTC for the central government employees on airlines other than national carrier Air India,” he said.
“This move will certainly benefit the budget level of hotels, who otherwise have not been doing well for the last couple of years,” he said.
Nasir also complimented Secretary Tourism, government of India, VinodZutshi in supporting the State government in this regard.
He also appreciated the “continuous follow up by Farooq A Shah, Secretary Tourism in this regard.
Akram Khan Siah, Chairman TTIG also thanked the Chief Minister and Secretary Tourism on clearance of LTC, a statement here said.
